The Czech Republic is thanks to its location often called the hearth of Europe. A lot of multinational conglomerates have set up their logistics centres in the Czech Republic.
For example the most known company – Amazon already operates 2 big logistics centers and more are planned. The reason for this expansion in the Czech Republic is the location to all major countries in the CEE region, in particular Germany, but the location is only part of the reason, why the boom is so significant. The Czech railway network is one of the densest in Europe, therefore moving cargo is very efficient. Not only transport of cargo plays a vital role in the expansion, but also the connection to China itself. Czech Republic being a landlocked country chose to focus on air travel and developed one of the best, if not the best, air transport links with Asia of any of the CEE countries. The Czech airports have very good connections with the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong for passenger and cargo flights. Václav Havel Airport in Prague has regular passenger flights with four Chinese cities – Beijing, Shanghai Chengdu and Xian.
The Czech Republic offers very good conditions for becoming one of the central hubs between China and the CEE region.
